Welcome to Sedlescombe Park
Specialist Dementia Care Home in Rugby, Warwickshire
Set just outside Rugby town centre, Sedlescombe Park is a specialist care facility in Rugby for people living with dementia. The home provides long-term care, short respite stays and day care for the over 65s. It has 20 spacious and homely rooms, as well as a beautiful glass conservatory where residents can eat their meals, be entertained, reminisce and relax. The charming interior of the conservatory looks out onto a beautifully landscaped garden, brimming with birds, wildlife and raised flower beds for residents to enjoy gardening if they wish to.
Accommodation at Sedlescombe is split over three floors providing plenty of peace and quiet for each resident. Our residents can choose from a wide array of comfortable rooms. As well as 16 private rooms for older people and people with dementia, each with a bedroom and en-suite, Manor House also has four shared rooms; perfect for couples, or individuals who enjoy the extra space to relax in. Residents are also encouraged to bring their personal items to create a 'home-from-home' environment, including any small furry friends!
Sedlescombe is conveniently situated in Rugby town centre in close proximity to Rugby train station and with excellent access to the motorway networks including the M6, M1 and M45. Its excellent location makes it convenient for outings to the shops, to the local park or the pub! Our residents have full control of their lives; they control their own budget, decide what they want from the shops and choose their own meals.
Our team of highly qualified, caring and attentive staff focus on the individual personalities of all our residents. The staff are trained by the in-house training department to provide 24-hour specialist dementia care. They are also encouraged and enabled to develop further by completing their NVQ and Diploma in Health and Social Care qualifications. Their dedication and excellence can be observed across all aspects of care including hospitality, cooking and in organising activities and excursions for all of the residents.
We provide the highest quality of care in a warm and homely environment. The daughter of one of our residents said: “we have been very happy with the care over the [ten] years…the manager is excellent and her team reflect her leadership. I would recommend the care given to anyone finding themselves searching for a 'safe haven' for their loves ones.”

My name is Jenny Irwin and I am Registered Manager of Sedlescombe Park.
I have been manager since April 2014 and was deputy 2.5 years prior to that.
With over 18 years of care experience, mainly in care homes but also 2 years in home-care, I have a level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and Level 5 Diploma and have completed training in Dementia Leadership.
I hope that I inspire all of my staff at Sedlescombe Park to build on their training and development, to really understand dementia and continue learning how best to empower individuals living with dementia to lead full and active lives.
